The Elstead “marathon” is the highlight of an evening of fun and fitness, hosted every year in the beautiful village of Elstead in Surrey. The marathon has been running, pun intended, since 1912 making it a truly historic event for runners worldwide. The event consists of a 5.5 mile off road race and a 2 mile junior race, both starting on the village green, with stalls, food and drink to make the evening fun for all the family
The course, set in beautiful hilly farmland, is tough and challenging but with a fun atmosphere it promotes camaraderie and you will finish the course with a smile on your face!
This one lap trail Race covers both the beautiful Hampton Estate and Puttenham Common, with some undulating hills, great views, through stunning bluebell woods, through a large lovely smelling pine forest then to the finish.
